New Build!


Hi!

This is a pretty important release, since it finally includes a very important change. The game is just as unfinished as ever, having just a glimpse of what the game mechanics are gonna be like. They're not even finished. But while I'm working on writing the story, I've been pushing the mechanics towards a more finished state.

The main reason for this being, the puzzle mechanics. This game started as a way simpler, humbler thing. But I liked the basic concept, and wanted to expand upon it. And here I am, making it now a puzzle adventure game.

This thing now includes three modes: Adventure, Arcade and Versus. Two of them centered around the puzzle mechanics, which have heavy inspiration on Pokémon Puzzle League and Magical Drop (the best DataEast game ever-- okay that's just for me but whatever, I like it).

There is a big issue regarding no tutorial whatsoever for now. But... It's playable. The game uses the same keys for everything as before: cursor keys (arrows) for moving the avatar/selectors and Space for interacting with things. Also new is Escape for Pause. There are some config menus which is new too. And overall I think I tried and managed somewhat a more improved experience, even if it's content-wise the same.

Now, about the modes... You can try Adventure (just pick "Start game"), this is where you can either play a solo match by using the PC ("play something" option), or try matches against three AI levels by going through the left side of Elen's bedroom. I'm sorry if it's messy, but it's for testing purposes.

Aside from that, you can also have matches 1v1 with friends by using the "Versus Mode" option at the menu.

There is no Arcade Mode for now, it takes you to the Versus instead. I'm planning that part still.
